A high note counting speed of more than 100 notes/6 seconds, an attractive yet sturdy design and elegant look, high accuracy and easy user interface make the Phoenix Currency Counting Machine (PLNC-3) buyer's first choice.

About PLNC-3
Phoenix Currency Counting Machine PLNC-3 is most suitable for Indian currency notes. It is also fully compatible with the new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 Indian currency notes. It has been designed to accurately detect five different types of fake/faulty currency notes. It supports 4 modes of operation - count mode, add mode, batch mode and bundle check mode. The display contains 2 windows of different sizes : 3-digit (A1 display) for current count value and 4-digit (A2 display) for last/batch/add count value. It has 5 LED indications for counterfeit note detection, 4 LED indications for current mode of operation, 3 LED indications for type of count displayed and 9-key keyboard, that further enhance ease of operation. Moreover, the Phoenix Currency Counting Machine comes with specially added features like low/over voltage detection and protection, thermal protection for main motor, run-free error display and sensor errors display.  Phoenix also provides an extra display that contains every indication of the main display, with this machine.

Fake Note Detection :

Phoenix Currency Counting Machine PLNC-3 detects 5 types of errors in currency notes.

1. UV (ultraviolet) Error - PLNC-3 shows this error when a fake note in the form of scanned copy or printed copy or plain paper is detected. The machine gives out a reject buzzer, the 'UV' LED flashes and the machine stops the fake note in its stacker.
2. MG (magnetic) Error - This error is shown when a currency note without magnetic thread is detected. The machine gives out a reject buzzer, the 'MG' LED flashes and the machine stops the improper note in its stacker.
3. IR (infrared) Error - This error is shown in case of detection of double notes or improper thickness of notes. The machine gives out a reject buzzer, the 'IR' LED flashes and the machine stops the improper note in its stacker.
4. Width Error - PLNC-3 shows this error when the width of the current note is very different than the first note counted in that set. The machine gives out a reject buzzer, the 'Width' LED flashes and the machine stops the concerned note in its stacker.
5. Half Note Error - This error is shown when a half cut note is detected by the machine. The machine gives out a reject buzzer, the 'Half Note' LED flashes and the machine stops the improper note in its stacker.

ADD Error Note (Add E.N.) Function - By default, whenever a faulty note is detected, the machine stops it in its stacker and DOES NOT COUNT it. In case these notes have to be counted (for example - pre 2005 true notes without magnetic thread), the user can enable the ADD ERROR NOTE function by pressing the '+' key. Now, the machine stops the faulty notes along with a reject buzzer and error reason, but it also COUNTS these notes in its final count value. The 'ADD E.N.' LED glows when this function is enabled. To disable, press the '-' key.
By default, detection of all the above types of errors is enabled.

To exit the error and continue counting, press the RESET/AUTO key.

Modes of Operation :

Phoenix Currency Counting Machine PLNC-3 supports 4 modes of operation.

1. Count Mode - This is the default counting mode and the machine simply counts the notes placed in its hopper. It detects the fake notes as explained above. The 'final count' is displayed in the A1 LED display whereas the 'last count' is displayed in the A2 LED display. In this mode, the 'L COUNT' LED glows indicating that the value in the A2 display is the last counted value.

2. Batch Mode - In this mode, once a batch is set, the machine counts the notes in its hopper and stops when the count is equal to the set batch value. Using this mode, the user can easily form bundles of the desired quantity of notes. Press the 'BATCH' key to enter the batch mode. To select one of the preset batches (100, 50, 20, 10 or 0) use the 'BATCH' key again. The user may also set the batch quantity (between 0 to 100) as required by using the '+' and '-' keys in batch mode. The set batch value is shown in display A2 and the 'B COUNT' and 'BATCH' LEDs are on in this mode. The machine also detects the fake notes as explained above.

3. Add Mode - This mode is used when a multiple sets of currency notes are to be added. Long press the 'ADD/CHECK' key to enter the add mode. A2 display shows 'Add' message, the 'A COUNT' and 'ADD' LEDs glow, indicating that the machine is in add mode. A1 display contains the value of the currently counted set of notes whereas the A2 display shows the total added value. The machine also detects the fake notes as explained above.

4. Bundle Check Mode - This mode is used to check if the NUMBER of currency notes in the input bundle is 100 or not. Long press the 'ADD/CHECK' key to enter this mode. A2 display shows 'CheC' message, the 'L COUNT' and 'AUTO' LEDs are on indicating that the machine is in bundle check mode. In this mode, if the number of input currency notes in the hopper are not equal to 100, the machine gives out a reject buzzer and the counted value flashes on the A1 display. The machine also detects the fake notes as explained above.

AUTO/MANUAL Mode - By default, the machine is in auto mode wherein it starts counting the notes once they are placed in the hopper. To shift to manual mode, long press the 'RESET/AUTO' key. Now the machine begins counting only when this key is pressed on placing the notes in the hopper.

Specially added features :

1. Run-free error display - This error is shown by the PLNC-3 when the machine starts working without any notes present. This may happen if the incoming note sensor receives signal from another obstruction. Phoenix Currency Counting Machine detects this error and stops the process after 15-20 seconds and gives out a reject buzzer and shows 'run FrEE' error on its A1 and A2 displays.

2. High/Low voltage detection - PLNC-3 has the capability of detecting if the operating voltage has fallen below a threshold (low voltage) or risen above a threshold (high voltage). In either case, it stops functioning and displays 'hIgh' or 'Lo' message respectively on its A2 display. This protects the machine from power related damages.  Once the voltages are in the acceptable range, the machine resumes operation. A voltage stabilizer may be used in order to avoid this problem.

3. Thermal protection for main motor - To avoid damage to the motor due to overheating, the PLNC-3 pauses operation when the motor is overheated. The machine resumes operation after the stable temperature is reached.

4. Sensor errors display - The PLNC-3 also displays errors with respect to its sensors, if any occur. Corresponding to the 4 sensors (speed sensor, left counting sensor, right counting sensor and stacker sensor), the machine displays 'SE1', 'SE2', 'SE3' or 'SE4' error respectively on its A1 display.
