Installation and Zero Level Setting : For accurate weighing, the easy installation method explained herewith should be followed. The scale should be kept in a perfectly horizontal position on a rigid and stable surface. The four legs underneath the machine should be adjusted such that the zero level indicator bubble is in the center of the ring given on the spirit level bottle. On adjusting the plastic and SS platters on the scale, it can be switched on. The scale now goes through a self test and displays 0.000 . The 'Stable' LED glows indicating that the scale is ready to weigh.
Zero Function : The 'Zero' key is pressed to zero the display. The 'Zero' LED glows indicating that the weight should be kept on the scale. Our scale now weighs the object (default mode is weight mode) and turns on the 'Stable' indicator that denotes that the displayed weight is correct and stable.
Modes of Operation : Phoenix Gold Series scale can work in 5 modes. Our scale momentarily displays the mode that has been selected and is ready for operation.
1. Weight Mode : This is the default mode. When an object is placed on the scale, the 'Stable' LED glows indicating that the weight displayed is correct and stable. Unit of measurement is grams.
2. Carat Mode : The 'Mode' key is to be pressed once to enter in the carat mode. The 'Carat' LED glows and unit of measurement is carat.
3. Count Mode : The 'Mode' key is to be pressed twice to enter in the count mode. The 'Pc' LED glows indicating that the scale is in count mode. The 'SMPL' (Sample) key should be used to select the desired range and the scale is ready to count the number of samples placed on it.
4. Percentage Mode : The 'Mode' key is to be pressed thrice to enter in the percentage mode. The 'Pc' LED flashes indicating that the scale is in percentage mode. The 'SMPL' key is used to set a particular weight as reference and the scale is ready for % weight. Now, for any item placed on the platter, the scale will display its percentage weight with respect to the reference.
5. GSM Mode : The 'Mode' key is to be pressed four times to enter the GSM mode. The 'Carat' LED flashes indicating that the scale is in GSM mode. On selecting the dimensions of the paper to be weighed (using 'SMPL' key), the scale is ready to weigh the paper in GSM mode.
Memory functions : When an object is kept on our scale, the 'M+' key can be used to store its weight in the memory. When the display shows zero, the 'M+' key can be pressed to see the number of stored weights and their total. For clearing the memory, the 'Tare' key is to be pressed when the scale is displaying weights. Memory functions can be performed in Carat and Count modes, too.
Battery Optimization : Phoenix Gold weighing scale has an in-built battery as an accessory. The 'BATT' indicator glows when the scale is operating in battery. The 'BATT' LED starts flashing when the battery is low, reminding the user to recharge it. After an hour of flashing, our scale turns off automatically to protect the battery from deep discharge. Phoenix Gold scale also has a feature of adjusting the display brightness so as to increase battery back-up! Moreover, the battery voltage can also be checked at any time by switching on the scale keeping the 'M+' key pressed.
Serial Interfaces : Phoenix Gold Scale can be connected to your computer to view the weight/carat/count etc. The contents can also be printed by connecting our scale to a thermal printer and prseeing the 'Print' key. Our scale also supports RS-232 Interface and DOS based systems.

When a load is kept on our scale and the 'Tare' key is pressed, the maximum load capacity of the scale gets decreased by the load weight. Overload indication is given by our scale at times when the load kept on it exceeds the maximum rating. Overload is indicated by displaying an 'Error' message.
