About NBY Scale
Phoenix NBY scale is attractive, sturdy, light weight and portable. It has an ABS bowl which is of a large (550*300*100 mm) and comfortable size. This bowl is thermal resistant with no sharp edges and is easy to clean. It also has special shock absorbers which keep the bowl stable, irrespective of child movements. To enhance smooth functioning, Phoenix NBY Scale comes with functions like storing the last weight in internal memory, 'hold'ing the weight manually or automatically, memory recall, kg/lb modes and many more. It also has an in-built rechargeable battery with protection against deep discharge. Printer/computer interface and overload protection are some more features that further compliment the operation on our baby weighing scale. A simple keyboard and LED indications provided to notify the user about machine operation prove to be a key factor in giving a superior UI.
LED indications and Key functions:
1. TARE : Indicates that the weight in the scale is Tared. This function can be used when the baby is placed in the bowl along with a cushion/blanket. The weight of the cushion/blanket can be tared to obtain the accurate weight of the baby alone.
2. ZERO : Indicates that the weight in the scale is zero and that the scale is ready for weighing.
3. lb : Indicates that the displayed weight is in pounds. The 'MODE' key can be used to convert the weight from kg to pound and vice versa.
4. BATT : Indicates that the scale in running on internal battery. This LED starts flashing when the battery is low notifying the user to recharge it.
5. AC ON : Indicates that the scale is connected to AC supply.
Storing the weight in memory and memory recall:
NBY scale has a feature of storing the last weight in its internal memory. This function is called 'HOLD' function and can either be manual or automatic. By default, the scale is in manual hold mode. When the displayed weight becomes stable, the user may press the 'HOLD' key to store this weight in memory. In auto-hold mode, once the weight is stable, it automatically gets stored in the memory. At any time, The 'MEM' key may be pressed to recall the last weight stored in memory. This recall function proves to be very useful while weighing infants and babies. The baby can be lifted from the scale and the weight can be noted down later by recalling it. The user can change from manual mode to auto-hold mode and vice versa, easily.
